Calling all Pinners!

Do you love Pinterest? I love the concept of the site. It’s a great way to organize your ideas and inspirations. Some say that it’s a time sucker, others I feel; are habitual pinners just collecting "pretty pictures", and some truly use it to make life a little easier. I’ve even saw a pin saying that it was "Fantasy Football for Women" lol. I myself do enjoy trying out the recipes or fun activities for the kids. If I like a pin: I save it to try again. If I dislike a pin, or tried it and it didn’t do so well; I delete them. I also use Pinterest to collect my idea for birthday gifts or projects I’m currently working on. I tend to be out of sight out of mind. So this helps keep them all in one visible place for me :)

I hope later on Pinterest will change the way you can manage your pins and boards. Adding a drag and drop option between boards like a real time idea board would be awesome. Maybe even making it possible to have private boards would be great. Once an image/resource is pinned; it is available to all. When someone else uses it, modifies, it and pins it a billion times. The idea is no longer original. Artists and creators of any kind would love private boards so they can collect their thoughts, ideas, and create something original without the whole world pinning it to bits.

I stumbled onto a new blog called Pinstrosity and found some of their stories hilarious. If you get a chance, check them out. I’m learning more to research pins before I waste my time and money. Some of their pins I’ve tried some I had saved for later and recently deleted lol.

Here are some pins I’ve tried (some many times), recommend, and would do again.
Smores Cookie Bars
Pepperoni Pizza Monkey Bread
Ice Cream Cupcakes
Best Ever Pulled Pork
Homemade Laundry Soap
Watermark Tee

What kind of Pinterest user are you? What have you pinned and tried out? I would love to hear your expirences. Have a awesome day!!

Bracelets are back!!

Ive had to much fun making these before but put them on the back burner because of time and ..well energy. After having some requests I put them in my updated Etsy store. Check out my Custom Sterling Silver Name Bracelets here.

Oh Little Blog How I Miss You & Girls Remodel Part 2

So the last two weeks have been super busy for me. I don't even know where to begin. For anyone who just started following, lets catch up. Ive been making over our daughters bedroom, added a new member of the family our house, and finally the worst of it all  . . .  Weaning off of anti-anxiety/anti depression medications for my long past post partum depression. Whew . . right?!?
that in its self is torture!!
I recent made a trip back to NY state to pick up my little brother. hes coming to finish high school in NC :) That in it self is alot of adjustment; A new home, school, and soon friends :) We are excited to have him with us and our kids are so excited about having Uncle Logan (who's only 14 lol) to play with all the time. Getting him settled in seems alot like getting married haha. All the paper work and trips  with my "soccer team" has been very wearing. For the most part, its looking like we are getting set into a routine,. Therefore I'm thankful.
Since returning back from ny we had to take a break from out mini makeover in the girls bedroom. So busy running around and returning to my real job has left me little time for anything else. However Jeremy and I were able to finish the closet (yesss!!!!!). Which was the biggest headache for me because everything that was inside was allover their room and everything elses was at a standstill until I was able to finish the closet up. I originally wanted to do the closet in all Elfa but I missed the sale :( So I had to improvise. We purchased two different systems and combined them in a way that was more affordable.

We bought two SystemBuild Closet Organizer Starter Kits with Drawers for $110 @ Wal-mart and added two more drawers for $31 each.
Walmart.com
Walmart.com

We also added two sets of double rods and shelves from elfa. Alternating between those and the systembuild systems.
The great thing about doing the closets it that I'm also able to go through and pick out the things that our children have outgrown at the same time so that i don't have to do it again later. Still have a lot more to put away. We bought the slim flocked hangers so they don't take up as much space, and I'm waiting on mini hooks and clips so we can hang the pants and skirts without buying the special hangers.
These cute flocked hangers are available at walmart for $15 for 30. They are the small baby size. Too bad they don't carry these in the regular size :(
As for my hooks and clips, as much as I prefer indie stores, I had no dicrimination against buying these overseas. Hooks like these tend to be overpriced everywhere ive looked locally and Ive had great experiences shopping overseas. Plus your $$ tends to go longer if you are willing to wait for shipping.

Colorful pegs from ebay to hold skirts onto hangers $5.99 w/shipping for 28 pegs.

Plus these mini hooks from aliexpress to hold outfits together.

Sadly painting is still in progress I have to finish the large wall and touch up the bed frame. Im definetaly ready to wrap this project up seeing as the baby will soon be ready for her "big girl bed". Looking forward to sharing photos of the closet and room next time :)
